What's not included?
  • Flights to and from Budapest — we'll share our best tips and tricks for finding great deals and timing your booking.
  • Food and beverages — we provide curated recommendations at every budget level. We'll walk you through realistic food budgets on your pre-trip call.
  • Personal shopping and souvenirs
  • Activities outside the planned itinerary
  • Travel insurance — optional but highly recommended. We'll share our recommended providers on your pre-trip call.
How many people are on the trip?

Maximum 10 travelers — 5 pairs per departure. Small enough to feel intimate, connected, and genuinely personal. Never a crowd, never a bus, never a flag to follow.

Is this trip right for me if I've never done this kind of travel before?

This is exactly the trip for you. We've thought of everything so you don't have to. You just show up — we've got you the whole way.

Logistics
What documentation will I need for international travel?

A valid passport is required — with at least six months of validity beyond your travel dates. Depending on your country of residence, a visa may also be required. We'll flag this well in advance and walk you through every step on your personal trip dashboard.

What physical fitness level is required?

No special fitness level required. You'll need to be comfortable walking — some days involve exploring on foot — but nothing strenuous or physically demanding. If you have an ADA requirement or specific mobility concern, please reach out before booking and we'll talk through what's possible for you.

Booking & Payment
How do I reserve my spot?

Click any "Reserve Your Spot" or "Book This Trip" button on the site, or book a call directly with Faith. You can do the whole thing over the phone if you prefer — we're people, not a checkout page.

What if I need to cancel?

We have a clear, fair cancellation policy:

  • Within 14 days of booking: Full refund — no questions asked.
  • 90+ days before departure: First installment forfeited, remainder refunded.
  • 60–89 days before departure: First two installments forfeited, third refunded.
  • Under 60 days before departure: No refund.
  • Documented medical emergency: Refund minus actual costs already incurred. We'll always do right by you.

We strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance to protect your investment.

Do you offer travel insurance?

We don't sell travel insurance, but we strongly recommend it — and we have great providers to point you toward. We'll share our recommendations on your pre-trip call.

Can I come solo, or is this for pairs only?

Our trips are designed around pairs — however you define your two. A couple, best friends, sisters, or any two people who love to travel together. As long as you're coming as a pair and happy to share a room, you're exactly who this trip is made for. Solo travelers looking for a single room aren't the right fit for this particular experience, but we'd love to hear from you — future trips may look different.

What are the sleeping arrangements?

Each room at Lujza & Koriander is designed for two travelers. Most rooms feature one king bed. A limited number of rooms can be configured with twin beds instead — ideal for sisters, friends, or any pair not sharing a bed. Since availability is limited, let us know your preference when you book, and we'll confirm based on what's still open.

About Side Road Travel
Will there be a new destination every year?

Yes — every year we choose one destination, build one itinerary, and take two to three small groups somewhere extraordinary. Once a trip runs, it's done. We'll announce the next destination as soon as it's confirmed — sign up below to be the first to know.
